Soul Food

The world is a big ass buffet full of variety waiting to be feasted upon. Sample whatever you want in this world. Just be aware that it is ultimately your own responsibility to pay attention to what you are feeding yourself and how it affects 'us'. We must become aware of our cravings and how they affect the self. Some thoughts can leave you feeling drained and fatigued when digested in the mind. Other thoughts can restore your energy and motivation in life. It would be most beneficial to choose the brain food that feels revitalizing.

The mind is like a refrigerator and thoughts are the food stored in it. Some items are from the buffet, and some are home cooked meals. Some are healthy and lite, while others are unhealthy and heavy. The fridge can easily become overcrowded with spoiled items if not cleaned out regularly. There are thoughts that can take up a lot of space and may not be of the highest quality. When we desire higher quality we soon realize that we do not have the storage space and what healthy food we do have has been contaminated by the outdated. At some point, we must clean out our minds to make space for the fresh new healthy produce which will prepare us for a prosperous future.

Over time we get attached to thoughts and they become beliefs which impact our everyday life.
It can be a struggle to let go of practiced thoughts if they have been digested for an extended amount of time. Trying to change a belief is like trying to change your diet. If you have been eating heavy unhealthy food for most of your life it will be a challenge to become a super healthy vegan all of a sudden. Although with practice, patience, and self-awareness it is possible to make a positive shift in your mental diet.

You can always tell which thoughts are good to digest because they feel good to eat. They give you life, confidence, vitality, hope, inspiration, and other uplifting feelings. There are foods for thought that may taste good but are toxic and can cause you to become emotionally ill over time. Consuming these mental foods can slow down the flow of abundance and happiness in your life. It is important to pay attention to how brain food causes you to feel. Some food can be inspiring while others can be a real energy drain.
